Perez Hilton’s Overdose Treatment Following Disturbing Self-Harm Event

Perez Hilton is currently receiving treatment following a distressing incident that involved self-harm, which he livestreamed on TikTok. According to a police report from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, the events unfolded on August 4 after a concerning call from his sister, Barbara Lavandeira.

Incident Details

Authorities rushed to Hilton’s residence after Lavandeira discovered him “covered in blood” while exhibiting self-harm behaviors inside the bathroom. In a panic, she took Hilton’s three children and fled the home. Meanwhile, Hilton exited the house “unclothed” and “covered in blood,” reportedly banging on the driver’s window of Lavandeira’s vehicle.

When law enforcement arrived, Hilton had retreated back inside, locking the door. Officers had to enter the home with assistance from some of Hilton’s family members. Emergency responders treated him on the scene for multiple lacerations and an overdose before transporting him to a hospital for further care.

Current Condition and Family Statements

Since the incident, Hilton has been placed under the Florida Baker’s Act, which allows for involuntary treatment of individuals deemed a risk to themselves or others. On August 9, his family released a statement via his official website informing the public that Hilton was in “serious but stable” condition due to substantial blood loss and injuries requiring surgical attention.

According to the police report, Lavandeira stated that her brother had been “suicidal” in the week leading up to the livestream. She revealed that the family had sought treatment for him just days before the tragic incident. In an interview with Page Six, Lavandeira elaborated on Hilton’s emotional state, sharing that he expressed feelings of emptiness, hopelessness, and a sense of being a burden. She also clarified that she and their mother, Teresa Lavandeira, were not seeking permanent custody of Hilton’s children but instead a temporary legal arrangement to facilitate decision-making while he focuses on recovery.
