Paramount's Primal Comedy Stars Alex Wolff and Will Angus

Paramount Primal has announced the ensemble cast for “Boys for Life,” an R-rated comedy directed by Tyler Falbo. The film is set to hit theaters on April 9, 2027, as reported by Variety.

Star-Studded Cast and Production Insights

The film features an impressive lineup that includes Alex Wolff, Will Angus, Billy Langdon, Liam Cullagh, Chester Collins, and Eilise Patton. While plot specifics remain under wraps, insiders suggest that “Boys for Life” revolves around a group of friends, infused with a dark comedic twist. Production began earlier this summer.

Tyler Falbo, who serves as the de facto showrunner for Almost Friday TV—a digital sketch comedy troupe—directed the film and co-wrote the script with Almost Friday co-founder Max Barrett. The project is produced by Falbo alongside Galen Core, highlighting a collaborative effort anchored in comedic storytelling.

Background of the Lead Actors

Alex Wolff, who gained fame from “Naked Brothers Band,” is set to reprise his role in the fifth “Jumanji” installment, slated for release on December 25. His recent work includes “Outside of Cleveland,” alongside notable films such as “Hereditary,” “Oppenheimer,” and “Magic Farm.” Wolff is also set to make his second directorial appearance in “If She Burns.”

Will Angus gained recognition in Mindy Kaling’s comedy series “Not Suitable for Work” and will soon appear in Luca Guadagnino’s highly anticipated film “Artificial,” featuring Andrew Garfield.

Among the ensemble, Langdon, Cullagh, and Collins are founding members of Almost Friday TV, known for their viral comedy sketches. They also tour for live comedy performances and are collaborating on a new FX series titled “Last Night Was a Movie,” which they are developing alongside Angus, Patton, and Falbo.

Almost Friday and its Creative Ventures

Collins is particularly recognized for his role as the fictional alpha male entrepreneur, Royce du Pont, with plans for a mockumentary centered around the character in development at Almost Friday. Eilise Patton, also part of this creative ensemble, is a member of the prestigious Groundlings Main Company in Los Angeles. She has an upcoming voice role in Netflix’s animated series “Dang” and previously appeared on ABC’s “The Rookie.”

Paramount Primal’s Vision

Paramount Primal, led by J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules, aims to collaborate with emerging talent and seasoned filmmakers to create “smartly budgeted films” across multiple genres, including comedy, horror, action, and sci-fi. The studio most recently acquired the U.S. rights to create a new version of the classic “A Nightmare on Elm Street” from the Wes Craven estate, signaling its commitment to innovative storytelling in the film industry.

Representation of the Cast

The talented cast is represented by various agencies: Wolff through Untitled Entertainment and WME; Angus with Mosaic, UTA, and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, LLP; Langdon with similar representation; and Cullagh, Collins, and Patton through Mosaic, UTA, and other firms, ensuring strong professional backing for their burgeoning careers.
