The prestigious Governors Awards will honor Glenn Close and Ridley Scott with honorary Oscars on Sunday, Nov. 15. Preliminary voting for the Oscars shortlist in twelve categories will occur from Dec. 7-11, leading to the announcement of the shortlist on Dec. 15. After the eligibility period wraps up on Dec. 31, 2026, nominations voting is scheduled for Jan. 11-15, 2027. The official nominations will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2027, while the 99th Oscars ceremony will unfold on Sunday, March 14, 2027, hosted by Conan O’Brien. The event will be broadcast live at 7 p.m. ET on ABC and across more than 200 territories worldwide from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
