The singer, known for his role in the rock band Poison, was dealing with health challenges that include a kidney stone removal and the placement of a ureteral stent.
Health Concerns Prompt Tour Cancellation
Following his comeback performance in Sugar Hill, Georgia, Michaels received immediate medical attention post-show. His team released a statement confirming that both doctors and paramedics recommended he take additional time off to heal. “Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100%,” his representatives posted on social media.
Michaels, who is a Type 1 diabetic, expressed that he may have rushed his return to performing. In a heartfelt message on social media, he acknowledged, “In my nonstop spirit to go out & do what I love − which is to play music and to see all of you… I may have just chosen to go sooner than I should have. We will come back better than ever.”

The cancellation affects six upcoming dates on his Live and Amplified Tour, which included a headlining show at Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s The Mountain Music Festival.
