The Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival is stirring excitement with its new additions to the lineup. Initially postponed due to severe weather, the festival is back with an updated roster featuring Blood Orange, Kali Uchis, and Geese, enhancing the vibrant music scene at this much-anticipated event. As fans gear up for the revised dates at Dodger Stadium, the inclusion of these diverse artists promises an unforgettable experience.
Rescheduled Lineup Shakes Things Up
Blood Orange, Geese, Fakemink, and Kali Uchis have joined the Camp Flog Gnaw lineup for the event now set for November 22 and 23. Last weekend’s intense rain led founder Tyler, the Creator, and the organizers to delay the festival by a week. Unfortunately, this change means Clairo, Don Toliver, Men I Trust, Sombr, Tems, and The Alchemist will not perform. However, the fresh lineup ensures a dynamic mix of performances alongside the likes of Tyler, Doechii, Childish Gambino, and A$AP Rocky.
Weather Challenges and Safety Measures
The decision to postpone Camp Flog Gnaw came after a severe storm brought torrential rain to the area, marking the wettest November Los Angeles has experienced in 40 years. Tyler, the Creator announced on Instagram, “Due to the fact this storm became an atmospheric rain torrential downpour we had 2 choices, cancel or move to next weekend. We chose the latter. We understand this is not ideal so we will offer refunds.” Safety took priority as evacuation warnings were issued across various parts of LA County.
Artist Reactions and Changes
Clairo, who was set to close her Charm era at Camp Flog Gnaw, expressed her disappointment on Instagram. She wrote, “a sad and unexpected ending to Charm, but I am leaving this time in my life with so much appreciation & gratitude in my heart.” The change in lineup has sparked a mix of emotions among fans and artists alike, but the new additions are expected to bring fresh energy to the festival atmosphere.
With the new dates and adjusted roster, Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival is set to deliver a weekend filled with diverse musical talent. Despite the challenges faced, the festival remains a significant cultural event, celebrating its 11th year with an impressive lineup. Music lovers can anticipate a weekend of creativity and community at Dodger Stadium.
