Adéla's Rejection Fuels Her Rise to Pop Stardom

Adéla’s journey from rejection to the pinnacle of pop stardom is nothing short of inspiring. After being turned away by Katseye, her determination and unique artistry have made her pop’s latest fascination. Her dynamic performances and distinctive style have captivated audiences, proving that setbacks can indeed propel one to greater heights.

From the Roxy to Arena Tours

With lights casting a glow and an infectious energy, Adéla captivated a packed crowd at the Roxy in October. “This is the first and last time I’m doing a show this small,” she declared, eliciting a powerful response from her fans. For 40 minutes, she seamlessly mixed ballet-inspired routines and a Britney Spears cover, with supporters like Troye Sivan and Demi Lovato cheering her on. Just days later, Lovato announced Adéla as the opener for her 2026 arena tour.

“Adéla is pop perfection,” Lovato shared with Rolling Stone. “Her dance skills, vocals, and songwriting all blend into an edge that’s uniquely hers.”

A Blessing in Disguise

Despite a whirlwind year, Adéla first gained attention on Pop Star Academy, a Netflix series following the formation of Katseye. Although her presence was felt as a standout dancer and supportive peer, she was surprisingly one of the first to be eliminated. Adéla now views this as a pivotal moment that redirected her career trajectory.

“I’ve always visualized myself onstage,” she shared. “It felt like coming home.”

Blazing Her Own Path

I caught up with Adéla at a Hollywood diner. With pink hair flowing and sunglasses perched over bleached brows, she shared insights into her influences. Her passion for pop culture has fueled her artistic journey since she first dreamed of stardom in Slovakia after watching Hannah Montana. Learning English by mimicking Disney stars’ interviews, Adéla had big plans early on.

“I had to navigate my own way,” she reflected on her journey through ballet and beyond, ultimately moving to the U.S. to seek new opportunities.

The Making of a Pop Obsession

After leaving Pop Star Academy, Adéla faced uncertainty but found solace in songwriting. Teaming up with Liam Benayon and creating tracks like “Homewrecked,” she reignited her love for pop music. Her bold, provocative style, evident in her debut EP The Provocateur, quickly garnered attention.

“People adore and criticize me, and I find beauty in the tension my work creates,” she noted.

Crafting Her World

With impact and vision, Adéla is shaping her path with creative director Chris Horan. As she prepares for her debut album, she aims to build a world that reflects her personal and artistic evolution.

“I feel most myself onstage,” she expressed. “Now, I want to create something truly personal.”

Embracing her status as pop’s next obsession, Adéla continues to challenge norms, delight fans, and redefine what it means to be a modern pop star.
