'The Studio' Triumphs with Best Comedy Series at 2026 Golden Globes

The 2026 Golden Globes were a night to remember, especially for fans of “The Studio.” This beloved series clinched the award for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, marking a significant triumph in the entertainment industry. The celebration not only highlighted the outstanding work of its cast and crew but also underscored the cultural impact of “The Studio,” a show that cleverly satirizes the Hollywood elite while resonating deeply with audiences.

Celebrating Success at the Golden Globes

Matt Remick finally achieved the recognition he had been striving for as “The Studio” won the coveted Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy award during Sunday’s Golden Globes. It was a particularly poignant moment when star Seth Rogen took the stage. Known for its witty take on the entertainment industry, “The Studio” fittingly dedicated an entire episode to the awards show.

Rogen brought humor to his acceptance speech, acknowledging those unable to join the celebration on stage. “Half our writers are at table one, and the other half are at table 228, but they made it!” he quipped. “I really want to thank our crew, most of whom don’t get invited to this, but they should.”

Rogen also shared an exciting update: Season Two of the AppleTV+ hit would commence filming next week, promising more comedy and industry insight.

Competition and Achievements

“The Studio” faced stiff competition from popular series like “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” “Hacks,” “Only Murders in the Building,” and “Nobody Wants This.” Despite this, the show’s unique charm and humor led to its victory. Seth Rogen also received the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a TV Show, Musical or Comedy, while Catherine O’Hara earned a nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, Television.

Behind the Scenes of ‘The Studio’

Co-creator Evan Goldberg previously described “The Studio” as a workplace comedy at its core. “It is about a boss and his team,” he shared with Rolling Stone. Rogen added, “We wanted to show that my character and a lot of the other characters are actual ‘movie people.’ Not everyone in Hollywood is a movie person, but these people are, and as frustrated as they are with the process, they ultimately believe in movies.”

An Entertaining Evening

This year’s Golden Globes, hosted by Nikki Glaser at The Beverly Hilton, brought glamour and humor back to the awards ceremony. Broadcasting live on CBS and Paramount+, the event not only celebrated the excellence of “The Studio” but also highlighted the series’ capacity to engage and entertain viewers worldwide.
