Stevie Nicks has announced a delay in her tour schedule due to a fractured shoulder, impacting performances from the iconic singer over the next two months. Fans eagerly anticipating her live shows will need to adjust plans as she focuses on recovery. Despite this setback, Nicks’ steadfast commitment to her music and audience remains unwavering.
Postponed Concert Dates
Nicks revealed on Friday that her scheduled performances for August and September would be rescheduled. In a statement shared on Instagram, she explained, “Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled.” She assured fans that shows slated for October would go on as planned.
The tour was initially set to begin in Brooklyn on August 8. However, the new opening date is now October 1 in Portland, Oregon. Among the affected locations are Detroit, Toronto, Boston, and Tampa, with more venues adjusting to accommodate the change in schedule.
Guidance for Ticketholders
Nicks advised fans to retain their tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates. “Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience,” the statement added. Fans are encouraged to check her Instagram post for a comprehensive list of the new concert dates.
Recent Announcements and Upcoming Projects
This announcement follows closely behind news of Nicks and former Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham reissuing their 1973 studio album, Buckingham Nicks, set for release in September. Although initially a commercial disappointment, the album played a critical role in their journey to joining Fleetwood Mac, ultimately leading to global success.
Despite the delay caused by her injury, Stevie Nicks’ passion for her art and connection with her audience ensures that her upcoming performances will be worth the wait. Fans can look forward to her return to the stage with her signature style and timeless music.
