The article detailed accusations from former employees that Mandy Teefey, a co-founder and Gomez’s mother, was involved in drug use on company premises. The report cited claims from ex-employees that co-founder Pierson, 31, was “pushed out” of Wondermind following mounting tensions with Teefey, 50. A spokesperson for Pierson contested the characterization of her leaving as being “pushed out,” instead labeling it as a difficult decision, while also expressing pride in the accomplishments made during her tenure.
