On Wednesday evening, Savannah Guthrie, together with her brother Camron and sister Annie, took to Instagram to send a direct message to the suspected kidnappers. Their mother, Nancy Guthrie, is believed to have been taken against her will, and her home is currently being treated as a crime scene. The suspicion of a potential abduction has sparked widespread concern.
“Our mom is our heart and our home. She’s 84 years old. Her health, her heart, is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine,” Savannah Guthrie stated emotionally in the video. “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please. Reach out to us.”
Family’s Gratitude and Plea
The Guthrie family also took a moment to thank the public for their support during this challenging time. “On behalf of our family, we want to thank all of you for the prayers for our beloved mom, Nancy. We feel them, and we continue to believe that she feels them too,” Savannah Guthrie expressed through tears.

Nancy Guthrie, who relies on essential medications and has mobility challenges, was last seen by her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, in Tucson, Arizona. After she failed to attend church the following day, her family reported her missing. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating the situation as a “possible kidnapping or abduction.”
Earlier, the Sheriff dismissed media reports suggesting Cioni as a potential suspect, emphasizing the need for accurate information and condemning speculative reporting.
