In an exciting development for fans of the horror video game franchise “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” a real-life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza will open in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in 2027. The new attraction will be part of the American Dream entertainment and retail complex.
Bringing the Game to Life
This immersive restaurant experience will serve as a functional reimagining of the iconic game location, crafted in collaboration with IP holder ScottGames. Visitors can expect a quick-service dining atmosphere that incorporates the chilling ambiance of the franchise.
A Unique Dining and Entertainment Experience
The Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location will feature two animatronic stage shows: the Main Stage with Freddy and the Fazbear Band, alongside Pirate Cove showcasing Foxy the Pirate. Guests will be able to enjoy meals, play arcade games, and watch the animatronic performances while also engaging in multiplayer survival horror experiences inspired by the game.
A Commitment to Authenticity
Atreyu Alcantar, the creative manager for licensing and location-based entertainment at American Dream, emphasized the importance of authenticity in this venture. “The only way this experience succeeds is if it’s created by a team that knows ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ inside and out,” he explained. “The animatronic show has to be authentic. The food has to be high quality. And above all else, we’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza – we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. This experience will immerse longtime fans in the world they’ve imagined for years while welcoming an entirely new audience to discover it for the first time.”
A Broader Cultural Phenomenon
Originally launched as a video game series, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” has since expanded into novels, graphic novels, and films. Created by Scott Cawthon, the storylines typically focus on characters who struggle to survive against murderous animatronic characters, all set within the fictional franchise of the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurants.
More Excitement at American Dream
Visitors to American Dream can anticipate a range of other attractions, including DreamWorks Water Park, Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, Sesame Street Learn & Play, Legoland Discovery Center, and Sea Life Aquarium. The new Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza will surely add to the excitement for families and fans alike.
