Plot Overview
The series is based on the 2018 Belgian production De Dag and unfolds over a single harrowing day. The synopsis reveals that the narrative kicks off when police encounter a bank robbery in progress. The criminals inside the bank barricade themselves, leading to a tense siege. The story begins from the police’s perspective, primarily focusing on hostage negotiator Sylvia ‘Vox’ Voxley, played by Driver, who races against time and mounting pressure to rescue the hostages.
As the plot escalates, the narrative cleverly rewinds, allowing viewers to experience the unfolding events through the eyes of both the robbers and their captives, offering a multifaceted approach to storytelling. Each episode alternates between the police operation and the criminals’ perspective, reshaping the truth with every shift and intensifying the mystery, which builds to a climactic finale where the complete picture is revealed.
