The Paley Center for Media gears up for a spectacular evening at its Paley Honors Spring Gala, celebrating influential figures in the media and entertainment industry. Set against the elegant backdrop of The Plaza in New York City on May 14, the event will spotlight the contributions of Warner Music Group’s CEO Robert Kyncl, Vivendi’s CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine, and the legendary television series ‘Charlie’s Angels’. This gathering promises to honor the achievements that have shaped cultural narratives through media.

Celebrating Influential Leaders in Media

The Paley Honors Spring Gala will spotlight not just an era of transformative leadership but also iconic creativity. Robert Kyncl, CEO of Warner Music Group, and Arnaud de Puyfontaine, CEO of Vivendi, will both receive accolades for their significant contributions. The gala will recognize their roles in steering companies that have left an indelible mark on the global media landscape.

“The Paley Honors celebrates the visionaries whose leadership, creativity and transformative ideas have left an indelible mark on our culture,” expressed Maureen J. Reidy, Paley Center president and CEO.

Recognizing a Television Milestone

The ceremony also coincides with the 50th anniversary of ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ acknowledging the series’ pioneering influence and lasting legacy in television. Original stars Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd will join the celebration, honoring their roles in advancing powerful narratives and characters on screen. The show’s groundbreaking approach reshaped the industry’s portrayal of women in leading roles and remains a cultural touchstone.

His tenure at YouTube and Netflix laid the groundwork for monumental shifts in how audiences consume content. Reflecting on receiving this honor, Kyncl stated, “It’s a privilege to receive this honor and I’m proud to support the important work this organization does for the media industry.”
