Comedian and actor Mike Epps has recently made a significant move in his career by signing with Independent Artist Group (IAG). This partnership will not only represent his production company, Indiana 1 Productions, but also encompasses all other facets of his entertainment career.
A Flourishing Comedy Career
Epps’ new representation follows the success of his “We Them One’s Comedy Tour,” which saw numerous arenas sell out during its run. This past January, his standup special, “Delusional,” premiered on Netflix, resulting in the streaming giant securing Epps for two additional standup specials, showcasing his growing popularity in the comedy realm.
Entertainment Portfolio Expansion
Known for his memorable performances in films such as the “Friday” franchise, “The Hangover,” “Sparkle,” “Girls Trip,” and “Dolemite Is My Name,” Epps has carved out a prominent spot in the entertainment industry. He also served as executive producer and starred alongside Wanda Sykes in Netflix’s “The Upshaws,” which concluded its seven-season journey earlier this year.
Focus on Original Content
In addition to his on-screen roles, Epps founded Indiana 1 Productions, a company centered on creating original film, television, and comedy content. Among his projects is the upcoming Hulu series “Good American Family,” featuring Ellen Pompeo, set to debut in 2025.
IAG’s Expanding Role
IAG, which has been instrumental in managing Epps’ live touring business, is broadening its scope to include film, television, comedy, literary endeavors, endorsements, and various other entertainment projects.
