Returning to the majestic Getty Center on October 6, A Day of Unreasonable Conversation will be hosted by social impact agency Propper Daley BPI, in collaboration with culture change agency Invisible Hand. The event promises to unite over 500 top television creators and 150 digital storytellers, fostering discussions on critical topics such as policy, advocacy, and philanthropy.

Leadership and Participation

This year’s summit is co-chaired by Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone from Simpson Street, alongside Greg Berlanti and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The co-chairs will not only address the participants but also play a pivotal role in shaping the day’s agenda. Numerous influential voices, including former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Hasan Piker, Jay Shetty, and many others, will contribute to the enriching dialogues. Comedian Atsuko Okatsuka serves as the emcee, ensuring a lively and engaging atmosphere.

A Shared Vision for Change

Reflecting on the event, Washington and Savone shared, “We are honored to be co-chairing A Day of Unreasonable Conversation for the second year in a row. This gathering affirms what’s possible when culture-makers and change-makers join forces: new ideas take shape, barriers give way, and a shared vision of a more just and connected world comes into focus.” Their statement underscores the summit’s objective of using storytelling as a powerful tool to bridge gaps and inspire change.

Imagining New Possibilities

Greg Propper, president of Propper Daley BPI and the visionary behind A Day of Unreasonable Conversation, remarked, “Our goal is for everyone to walk out with a new lens on the issues they thought they already understood. Stories don’t just mirror culture; they shape it. And when leaders from Hollywood and public life come together, we create the space to imagine new possibilities and spark the narratives that can move society forward.”

The event is proudly presented by Imaginable Futures in collaboration with partners such as Omidyar Network, Stand Together, and Imagine Entertainment. Support also comes from respected foundations like New America, Carnegie Corporation of New York, and others. The summit will conclude with a celebratory reception hosted by Best Buy and the UTA Foundation, highlighting the power of culture. Interested participants must RSVP by September 22 to join this transformative experience.
