Karan Johar’s Birthday Gift for Kartik Aaryan Turns Naagzilla into a Franchise: “Kartik Will Be the Only Constant in the Series”
Kartik Aaryan’s career is taking exciting turns, and his latest venture, Naagzilla, promises to take it to new heights. Karan Johar’s birthday gift for Kartik Aaryan has set the stage for a franchise, as the filmmaker reveals that “Kartik will be the only constant in the series.” With this innovative project, doubts about Aaryan’s diverse talent are quickly fading, making his foray into the fantasy genre one to watch closely.
From Ichhaadhaari Naag to Franchise Star
Kartik Aaryan portrays an ichhaadhaari naag in Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand, a role that allows him to morph into any form, including that of a human. As he prepares for this transformative character, Aaryan reportedly spends time studying Reena Roy’s iconic performance in Rajkumar Kohli’s Nagin, where she depicted a similar ichhaadhari naagin. Plans are even in the works for Aaryan to meet Roy to gain further insights into the role.
Karan Johar’s Vision for Naagzilla
Karan Johar, known for his strategic vision, intends to expand the realm of Naagzilla into a fully-fledged franchise. A source close to the development said, “As soon as the first Naagzilla film is launched, the pre-production for the next film in the series will start. Kartik will be the only constant in the series.” This approach promises to keep the series fresh and engaging while maintaining Aaryan’s central role.
A Multi-Film Deal That Elevates Aaryan’s Career
In an exciting collaboration, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan have signed a multi-film deal that kicks off with the romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, scheduled for release on December 25, 2025. Following this, Naagzilla will hit theaters on August 14, 2026. Fans can look forward to subsequent projects between the two, with announcements expected soon.
Aaryan’s thrilling journey into the world of Naagzilla, backed by Karan Johar’s vision, not only signals a game-changing moment in his career but also sets a high bar for fantasy cinema in Bollywood. Stay tuned for more updates as this franchise unfolds!
