Derek Hough and his pregnant wife, Hayley Erbert Hough, recently celebrated their upcoming parenthood with an enchanting baby shower that can only be described as “ethereal” and “dreamy.” This delightful gathering took place on Thursday, November 13, in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends, family, and fellow dancers. The celebration marks a joyful chapter as the couple prepares for their baby on the way, emphasizing the love and excitement they share for their growing family.
A Magical Celebration
On November 13, the couple, who tied the knot in August 2023, enjoyed a whimsical baby shower at the Cosette Wine Bar + Bottleshop. The event was a stunning tribute to their journey into parenthood, meticulously planned by Hayley’s aunt Julianne Hough, along with Britt Stewart and Jessica Gee, in collaboration with event planner Troy Williams of Simply Troy.
“Hayley and Derek are such a beautiful match,” Julianne shared with PEOPLE. “They are the perfect combination of creativity and strength, and they give so much love to each other and the people in their lives. Britt, Jess, and I knew we needed to throw them the most beautiful shower to honor them and their greatest creation yet.”
Excitement for the New Arrival
Julianne also expressed her enthusiasm about being an aunt again. “Being an aunt is one of my favorite roles,” she stated. “Having Derek, Hayley, and this new little angel living here in [Los Angeles] will be so amazing, and I couldn’t be more excited to spoil the baby rotten!”

A memorable keepsake was created for the couple, featuring personal notes from guests, rewritten by Andrea Fowler of The Calligraphy Nerd into a limited edition keepsake book of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. This thoughtful gift, illustrated and signed by Jason Mowry, was presented to Derek and Hayley by Julianne, further emphasizing the love and support surrounding them. Guests’ names were also engraved on floral bud vases to cherish the occasion.

Derek and Hayley first joyfully announced their pregnancy on July 22, sharing a touching video on Instagram. In the clip, Derek lovingly embraces Hayley as she presents a strip of sonogram photos to the camera, captioned, “We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small ♥️.”
