Braden Peters, a rising social media influencer better known by his online persona Clavicular, has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape and drugging an underage girl. The allegations stem from a livestream incident in 2025, where the accuser claimed she was given alcohol during the broadcast. Peters entered his plea at a brief arraignment held in Massachusetts.
Details of the Charges
The 20-year-old influencer faces two felony counts: one for rape and another for drugging a person for sexual intercourse. He also faces a misdemeanor charge for allegedly providing alcohol to someone under 21. Following the arraignment, Peters posted bail, set at $10,000, and agreed to several conditions, including surrendering his passport and staying away from the accuser.
Peters’s Response
Peters has publicly denied the allegations, asserting that the encounter was consensual. He utilized his social media platforms to share a video that includes screenshots of text conversations and a handwritten letter, intercut with footage of him at an urban inner harbor. In the post, he commented, “There’s better ways to make money than suing someone because they don’t want you,” and continued with other remarks that hinted at accusations of greed.
Related Civil Lawsuit
The criminal accusations appear to coincide with a civil lawsuit filed against Peters in April, where the plaintiff accused him of having sexual relations with her while she was intoxicated. Furthermore, she claimed that he injected her with Aqualyx, an unapproved fat-dissolving substance, during a livestream without her consent. Peters responded to the lawsuit on social media, questioning the motives behind it and labeling the situation as “petty.”
Possible Sentencing
If convicted of the criminal charges, Peters could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for the rape charge. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for his future, both personally and professionally.
