The long-awaited third installment in the ‘Hocus Pocus’ franchise—where the actress portrays Salem witch Winifred Sanderson—has a script, Midler said on a recent appearance of Watch What Happens Live.
“Well, you know, they sent a script. And a lot of it was brilliant,” she told the host Andy Cohen.
She added: “So I got very excited, and now we’re sort of like trying to figure out what it is and where it’s going to be and how much it’s going to cost and all those logistical things.”
Back in 1993, when the film first hit theaters, it stumbled at the box office but later transformed into a cult classic, becoming a Halloween staple. Its legacy turned Salem, famous for the 1692 witch trials, into a pilgrimage site for fans during the spooky season.

I’d never heard that number before.”
