Ariana Grande is set to light up stages across the globe with her highly anticipated “Eternal Sunshine” tour. After years of contemplation and a significant hiatus following her Sweetener and Thank U Next shows, the pop icon is ready to reconnect with her audience. This announcement marks a thrilling new chapter in Grande’s career, promising fans an unforgettable live experience.
Grande’s Return to the Stage
Last year, during the promotional cycle for her album “Eternal Sunshine,” Ariana Grande was uncertain about touring again. Her previous tour, which supported both Sweetener and Thank U Next, was nearly five years ago and took an emotional toll on the singer. Grande expressed the necessity to understand her relationship with live performances before hitting the road again. Now she’s prepared to do so on her terms with the announcement of the Eternal Sunshine tour.
Tour Dates and Locations
The Eternal Sunshine tour will kick off in June next year, starting with two performances in Oakland, California. It will then move through key locations including Los Angeles, Austin, her hometown of Sunrise, Florida, Atlanta, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for four nights, Boston, Montreal, and conclude with two nights at Chicago’s United Center in early August. The tour will then cross the Atlantic for five shows at London’s O2 Arena.
The Music and the Vision
Similar to the 2019 Sweetener world tour, Grande’s upcoming performances will feature songs from both “Eternal Sunshine” and her 2020 release “Positions.” In a candid conversation on the Zach Sang Show, she joked about the daunting idea of touring with two albums: “I think I was buying myself time, I didn’t want to do that,” she shared. The excitement is palpable as she embraces the challenge of bringing her music to life on stage.
Building Excitement
Initially, Grande was hesitant to spark excitement with announcements, stating, “I was not ready to announce any sort of thing or get people too excited because I don’t want to disappoint.” However, overcoming the emotional challenges of her last tour, she is now eager to redefine her stage presence and deliver a remarkable show once more.
Grande’s Other Creative Ventures
In between her albums, Grande has kept busy portraying Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked, which premiered its first part last Thanksgiving. The continuation of the film is scheduled for release on November 26, 2025, further showcasing her diverse talents beyond music.
