Temuera Morrison Urges Fans: Petition Lucasfilm for Boba Fett's Return

Temuera Morrison, known for his iconic role in the “Star Wars” universe, is appealing to fans to help make his return to the franchise a reality. The actor, celebrated for his portrayal of Boba Fett, seeks the support of the “Star Wars” community to reach out to Lucasfilm, urging them to bring him back to the vast galaxy. With a career spanning over two decades in the saga, Morrison’s recent appearance at the Tampa Bay Comic Convention highlighted his eagerness to continue his journey in a galaxy far, far away.

Reaching Out to Lucasfilm

During his panel at the convention, Morrison was asked about any upcoming “Star Wars” projects. His response was straightforward. “No,” he said. “We really have to treasure those moments now. All of you need to send a fax, or a letter or an email to those powers that be at Lucasfilm. I’m sure they’d love to hear from everyone. Please give Daniel Logan and Temuera Morrison another chance and put them somewhere.”

The Legacy of Boba Fett and Jango Fett

Morrison’s journey in “Star Wars” began with his portrayal of Jango Fett in 2002’s “Star Wars — Episode II: Attack of the Clones.” He continued to expand his role by playing Jango’s many genetic clones and the adult version of his clone son, Boba Fett. Daniel Logan, who portrayed young Boba in the same film, joined Morrison on stage, emphasizing the transformative nature of the franchise and the versatility in Morrison’s performances.

A Plethora of Opportunities

Logan chimed in during the panel, expressing the unpredictability of “Star Wars” productions. “The crazy part with ‘Star Wars’ is that you don’t know about filming anything until like, a week, or maybe two, or even less than that, right?” he remarked. “But the thing is, Temuera is the greediest person in ‘Star Wars.’ He’s played so many characters, he’s got the most characters in ‘Star Wars,’ if you go down the line — from Jango, Boba, all of the Clones, Rex, Cody, Fives — he’s got the most characters in ‘Star Wars.’”

Logan continued, highlighting the potential Morrison has for future projects. “There’s going to be plenty of opportunities. Especially for this guy, especially with this era of ‘Star Wars,’ like ‘Ahsoka,’ and all this stuff set after ‘Return of the Jedi.’”

The Rise of Boba Fett on Disney+

Morrison’s portrayal of Boba Fett saw a revival in the acclaimed Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” which later led to his own spinoff, “The Book of Boba Fett.” This series captivated audiences with seven episodes, airing between late 2021 and early 2022.

With Morrison’s talents and dedication clear, fans have a great opportunity to express their support for his return, potentially reshaping the future of “Star Wars” storytelling with their voices.
