Powerful women in the entertainment industry will be celebrated at this year’s Power of Women: Los Angeles event, hosted by Variety in partnership with Lifetime. This star-studded gathering, scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, in Beverly Hills, will spotlight the inspiring contributions of women shaping the industry. Iconic figures such as Jane Fonda, Melanie Griffith, Eva Longoria, Octavia Spencer, Jordan Chiles, and Sharon Stone are set to present at Power of Women, underscoring the event’s emphasis on influence and advocacy.
Renowned Presenters and Honorees
Jane Fonda, acclaimed for both her acting and activism, will honor Wanda Sykes, one of the event’s distinguished honorees. Similarly, Oscar winner Octavia Spencer will present to Kate Hudson, while Eva Longoria will honor Nicole Scherzinger. In addition, Melanie Griffith is set to recognize Jamie Lee Curtis for her contributions, and Sharon Stone will salute Sydney Sweeney. Aly Raisman and Courageous Advocacy
The Power of Women event will also celebrate Aly Raisman with the Variety Courage Award. This accolade, presented by Purina, acknowledges Raisman’s tireless advocacy for survivors of abuse. World Champion gymnast Jordan Chiles will present the award. Raisman’s work with Purina’s Purple Leash Project highlights the healing role pets play for domestic violence survivors by encouraging pet-friendly shelters.
