Prince William, Kate Middleton in Rare Public Sighting With Kids
In a charming and rare public sighting, Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted with their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—during a family outing in Scotland on August 24. This delightful occasion brought the royal family together as they attended a church service at Crathie Kirk, situated near Balmoral, among other prominent members of the royal family.
Royal Family Attends Balmoral Church Service
Driving the family to the service, William, 43, was at the wheel of a Range Rover, looking focused as he navigated the Scottish roads. Beside him, Kate, also 43, radiated joy with her bright smile. She donned a maroon top layered beneath a brown-and-burgundy plaid jacket, accessorized with a stylish black hat that accentuated her freshly lightened honey-toned locks—a softer shade that she revealed back in April, making this outing one of the clearest showcases of her new look.
In the back seat, their children—12-year-old George, 10-year-old Charlotte, and 7-year-old Louis—appeared calm and composed, enjoying the ride to the family gathering.
According to reports from People, King Charles and Queen Camilla were also present, accompanied by Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence. The group was rounded out by Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie, contributing to one of the largest royal family gatherings of the summer.
Summer at Balmoral & Upcoming Move
Currently, the royal family is enjoying a traditional summer retreat at Balmoral in the Scottish Highlands, a historic estate that has been cherished since the reign of Queen Victoria. Acquired by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1852, Balmoral remains one of the monarchy’s most beloved private residences.
This family reunion holds significance as Prince William and Kate prepare for a significant change in their lives. Later this year, they are expected to transition from their four-bedroom home, Adelaide Cottage, to Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom residence nestled in Windsor Great Park.
Sources reveal that this move to Forest Lodge symbolizes a “fresh start” for the couple, especially after enduring a challenging past year that included Middleton’s private battle with cancer. The new home promises to provide the family with more space while keeping them close to Windsor Castle.
Earlier in the week, Kate momentarily stepped away from family time to extend her support to the England women’s rugby team ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup. She also participated in Wimbledon earlier this summer, reinforcing her role as the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
This gathering at Balmoral stands out as one of the rare occasions in recent times where the Prince and Princess of Wales have been seen publicly with all three of their children, making it a noteworthy event for royal enthusiasts.
