Kylie Minogue Poised for 36th UK Top 10 Hit with XMAS

The beloved Australian pop legend Kylie Minogue is poised for yet another milestone as her latest festive track, XMAS, charts on its way to potentially becoming her 36th UK Top 10 single. The new hit has already made waves since its debut in the Top 40, sparking excitement among fans and industry insiders alike. If predictions hold true, XMAS may reach an impressive Number 5 on the Official Chart: First Look, marking a significant moment in Kylie’s illustrious career.

A Strong Comeback

XMAS has gained considerable traction since its release and stands to secure Kylie’s first Top 10 hit since her 2023 track Padam Padam, which peaked at Number 8. This new single would also represent her highest-charting song since the 2010 smash hit All The Lovers, which reached Number 3. With such a strong performance, XMAS is looking to position Kylie prominently in the current musical landscape.

Amazon Exclusive

The song is part of the Amazon Music Original series and features on the exclusive variants of her recently released album, Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped), which hit the shelves on December 5th. This collaboration marks a noteworthy endeavor for Kylie, further solidifying her continued relevance in the ever-evolving music industry.

Festive Chart Competition

This week’s chart battle is shaping up to be a festive showdown. While XMAS is on course for success, it faces stiff competition from iconic tracks such as WHAM!’s Last Christmas, currently holding the Number 1 spot, and Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You, sitting in second place. Additionally, RAYE’s WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! maintains a strong presence at Number 3, making it a highly competitive environment for holiday music.

Other Movers in the Charts

Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree is also looking to re-peak at Number 4, after achieving its highest placement in both 2022 and 2024. On the other hand, Kelly Clarkson’s modern classic Underneath The Tree has climbed three places to Number 6, hinting at a potential new peak for the song that previously reached Number 7 in 2024.

Moreover, Gwen Stefani aims for a comeback with her track Shake The Snow Globe, positioned at Number 16, which could represent her first Top 40 single since 2007. Interestingly, like Kylie’s XMAS, it is also an Amazon Original, featured on the deluxe reissue of her festive album You Make It Feel Like Christmas. Rounding out the midweek festivities, the dance anthem I Run by Haven featuring Kaitlin Aragon could break into the Top 20 for the first time, currently at Number 17.
