Kit Harington's Hilarious Struggle Kissing Taller Sophie Turner

In a surprising twist for fans, Kit Harington and Sophie Turner have reunited for a new project after portraying iconic siblings in “Game of Thrones.” This time, the duo takes on very different roles in a horror film titled “The Dreadful,” where they share some unexpected romantic scenes. Harington admitted feeling “odd” about kissing Turner, given their past roles as Jon Snow and Sansa Stark. This article delves into their experiences filming together, the dynamics on set, and more about the movie’s intriguing plot.

The Unexpected Reunion

Kit Harington recently shared with E! News that his first on-screen kiss with Sophie Turner in their new horror movie felt “weird.” Having spent a decade playing siblings on “Game of Thrones,” this sudden shift to lovers proved challenging. He described his initial reaction to the script, stating, “It felt very odd about that. But it was a good chance to be with her again and work together.”

Despite the unconventional situation, Harington embraced the opportunity to collaborate with Turner again. “What was lovely is that we got on set together and our friendship completely ignited again. It felt like being with family,” he added, reflecting on the camaraderie they shared during filming.

Behind the Scenes of “The Dreadful”

Set in the 15th century, “The Dreadful” follows Anne, played by Turner, and her mother-in-law Morwen as they navigate life on the fringes of society. When a mysterious man from their past, portrayed by Harington, reemerges, it sets off a series of events that dramatically alter Anne’s life. Directed by Natasha Kermani, the film also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Laurence O’Fuarain, and Jonathan Howard.

Turner revealed on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” how bizarre it was to kiss her former on-screen brother. She admitted, “It was like, ‘Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex…’ And then I’m like, ‘Oh, shoot, that’s my brother.’ We were both retching. It was the worst.”

Humor Amidst the Awkwardness

Adding a touch of humor to the awkwardness, Kit jokingly mentioned having to use an “apple box” during their kissing scenes because Turner is about a foot taller than him. Despite this, he humorously noted, “Other than that, my dignity was pretty intact.”

The film’s release date has yet to be announced, but fans eagerly await seeing Harington and Turner on screen together once more, in roles starkly different from their time in Westeros. Their experiences filming “The Dreadful” highlight the enduring bond formed between them from their years on “Game of Thrones.” As the anticipation builds, audiences are excited to see how this dynamic duo navigates their new characters and storyline.
