In a statement to Variety on August 13, Walsh acknowledged his error, stating, “I was speaking off the cuff in a Cameo and should not have speculated about the production schedule or episode count. I don’t have any official information to announce, and I’m sorry for creating confusion for the production and the fans. My Cameo account is paused for now.”

The 62-year-old actor expressed his appreciation for being part of the series, which also features Connor Storrie portraying Ilya Rozanov. He added, “I’m incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm surrounding Heated Rivalry and proud to be part of the series.”
New Faces in Season Two
While specific details about the episode count remain unannounced, the production team has introduced new cast members joining Walsh and Storrie for season two. Charlie Gillespie and Justice Smith are set to play Troy Barrett and Harris Drover, respectively. Additionally, the Heated Rivalry team confirmed that Emily Hampshire, known for her role in Schitt’s Creek, will join the lineup along with Edvin Ryding from Young Royals, Priyanka, the winner of Drag Race Canada, comedian Sabrina Jalees, and actor Robert Naylor.
