Disney Partners with Dude Perfect for Exclusive Content Creation

In a strategic move to enhance its portfolio of content creators, The Walt Disney Co. has announced a significant partnership with the popular sports entertainment group Dude Perfect. This agreement is being touted as a “company-wide creative partnership” that will encompass various aspects of entertainment, including sports, consumer products, and immersive experiences.

Expansion of Content on Disney Platforms

As part of this collaboration, fans can expect to see Dude Perfect content featured on Disney+, including segments from their extensive short-form video library. Additionally, the creators will develop original content inspired by major Disney events. Key projects highlighted in the agreement include content related to Super Bowl LXI, the milestone 50th anniversary of Star Wars, and Marvel Studios’ upcoming release, Avengers: Doomsday.

Dude Perfect’s Journey and Growth

Founded in 2009 by Texas A&M students Tyler Toney, Coby Cotton, Cory Cotton, Garrett Hilbert, and Cody Jones, Dude Perfect started as a YouTube channel showcasing trick shots. Over the years, the group has evolved into a full-fledged studio, operating from an impressive 80,000-square-foot facility in Frisco, Texas, and maintaining a robust lineup of programming and brand partnerships.

Investment and Future Goals

In 2024, Dude Perfect secured $100 million in funding from Highmount Capital to catalyze its growth, with co-founder Coby Cotton expressing a desire to expand into live events and products—areas where Disney has substantial expertise.

Building on a Pre-existing Relationship

This new partnership builds on the existing relationship between Dude Perfect and Disney. Previously, they collaborated on content such as the popular video “Going to Every Disney Park in 75 Hours.” This deal not only strengthens their connection but also promises to deliver even more engaging content for fans.

Statements from Leadership

Asad Ayaz, Disney’s chief marketing and brand officer, stated, “Disney has always been a place where great storytellers come to create, and Dude Perfect brings a distinctive voice and an inventive approach to everything they do. By building on our longstanding relationship, we’re able to give fans even more ways to experience and be part of the Disney stories they love.”

Reflecting on their partnership with Disney, co-founder Garrett Hilbert shared, “We’ve been Disney kids forever, from wearing out the VHS tape of The Lion King to making core memories as a family at Disney World. Disney taught us to go big and dream, and that has shaped everything we’ve built. Now, we get to make more of those dreams come to life with the Disney team, and we can’t wait to bring our fans along for the ride.”
