Demi Lovato is set to make a triumphant return in the highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock 3. The beloved singer will reprise her iconic role as Mitchie Torres, a character she brought to life in the original Camp Rock released in 2008 and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, that came out in 2010. However, anticipation grew as she teased her return, sharing a snapshot from the film on social media with the playful caption, “Y’all miss me? xoxo, Mitchie.” Director Veronica Rodriguez elaborated on the balance of Mitchie’s involvement in the film, stating, “We wanted to find the right balance of how much she should be in the film and what Mitchie’s involvement looked like. Her character literally says in the movie, to her mom, ‘This isn’t about me, it’s about them. It’s their time to shine. This is the new generation of campers.’” Rodriguez emphasized their intention to weave Mitchie and Connect 3 seamlessly into the narrative while ensuring ample opportunity for the new generation of campers to shine.

Camp Rock 3 is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel on August 13, with streaming set to begin the following day on Disney+. The film will introduce new cast members including Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, and Ava Jean.
