In a significant move to expand its influence in the Spanish-speaking entertainment world, Juntos Films, the Chilean production powerhouse behind “The Fabulous Gold Harvesting Machine,” has teamed up with the newly established Bandada label. This collaboration with former Fabula executive Daniel Castell is set to enhance Juntos Films’ repertoire of scripted content, marking a strategic effort to dominate the market with fresh and compelling narratives.
Strategic Partnership with Bandada
Juntos Films has solidified a strategic alliance with Bandada, helmed by Daniel Castell, aiming to increase its scripted offerings for global platforms. This partnership introduces a first-look deal, covering both scripted and unscripted works, as well as non-fiction series. Such a move is expected to propel Juntos Films into a new era of content creation, with exclusivity on future series productions.
Partners Francisco Hervé and Moisés Sepúlveda of Juntos Films recently participated in a showrunner workshop at the Iberseries & Platino Industria conference in Madrid, focusing on their new series project, “Culpables Inocentes.”
Juntos Films’ Vision and Achievements
Juntos Films has built a formidable reputation for producing works that entertain and provoke thought. “The Fabulous Gold Harvesting Machine,” directed by Alfredo Pourailly, achieved critical acclaim, winning best film at key festivals in Guadalajara, Sanfic, and Lima in 2024. Other noteworthy projects include “Bitter Gold” by Juan Olea and the documentary “The Other One” by Francisco Bermejo, showcasing Juntos Films’ commitment to innovative storytelling.
“Our focus has always been on balancing strong creative development with efficient production, and this new alliance allows us to extend our philosophy into premium series,” Hervé emphasized.
The Castell Influence
Daniel Castell, with nearly a decade of experience at Fabula, played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s TV division to cater to international streaming platforms. His impressive portfolio includes Apple TV+’s “Midnight Family,” Netflix’s “Baby Bandito,” and Amazon’s “The Pack.” This collaboration with Juntos Films represents a natural progression in his career, allowing his creative vision to reach a broader audience.
“At Bandada, we aim to craft groundbreaking, globally resonant content. Collaborating with Juntos allows us to expand our reach and push creative boundaries, building premium series that resonate worldwide,” Castell noted.
Looking Ahead
The partnership between Juntos Films and Bandada signifies a promising future for Chilean content on the global stage. With Castell’s expertise and Juntos’ innovative spirit, the alliance is set to create impactful and diverse narratives.
“This marks a new chapter where Chilean stories can flourish globally,” Sepúlveda of Juntos Films expressed, illustrating the optimistic outlook for this collaborative effort.
