During a recent interview on Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Felton shared his thoughts on the importance of extending a hand to the new actors involved in the “Harry Potter” series. “I’ve sent word, yes,” he said. Acknowledging the unique experience awaiting Pratt, Felton added, “It’s very different — we were entering things that don’t exist; there’s quite a lot of weight now.”

Felton chose not to overwhelm Pratt with advice, instead encouraging him to enjoy the journey. “This is your journey,” he noted, while offering some light-hearted tips: “Have as much fun as possible, take as many pictures as you can, steal as many props as you can — they’ll be worth a fortune.” Nevertheless, he assured Pratt that if a word of encouragement was needed, he’d be there.

Reflecting on how times have changed since he first donned Draco’s robes, Felton discussed the challenges today’s young actors might face, particularly the influence of social media. He described it as “inconceivable,” reminiscing about an era when physical film cameras were the norm. Recalling his filming days, Felton humorously recounted, “That’s how Daniel and I grew up learning quidditch. 25 years later, we’re on Broadway together! That’s mental.”
Currently, both Felton and his former co-star Daniel Radcliffe are enchanting audiences on Broadway. While Felton revisits the magical world in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” Radcliffe showcases his talent in the one-man show “Every Brilliant Thing.”
“Of course, Daniel Radcliffe’s play is only 400 meters from mine,” Felton shared. “I’m playing Draco, he’s opening what I think is one of the best shows on Broadway other than ours.”
