This leadership shake-up brings fresh faces and seasoned veterans to the forefront. Raj Kapoor, an Emmy-winning producer known for his work on the Academy and Grammy Awards, joins the Tony Awards team for the first time. Teaming up with Kapoor is Sarah Levine Hall, also an Emmy winner, and Jack Sussman, a live-events producer and longtime CBS executive. Together, Kapoor and Levine Hall will co-run the show, combining their diverse backgrounds to deliver an exceptional viewing experience.

Kapoor’s impressive resume includes executive producing nine Academy Awards and 12 Grammy Awards, with Emmy accolades for “The 96th Oscars” and “Adele: One Night Only.” He continues to impact the industry, currently working on the 98th Oscars and most recent Grammys. Levine Hall boasts experience from 19 Tony Awards shows and an Emmy win for her work on the Oscars in 2024. Sussman, with over two decades at CBS, has been instrumental in the network’s Grammy and Tony Awards broadcasts.
Looking ahead, the eligibility cut-off for the 2025-2026 Broadway season is April 26, 2026, with nominations being announced on May 5. The 79th Tony Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and available for streaming on Paramount+, promising an unforgettable night of theatrical celebration.
