Nate Bargatze’s ambitious vision for the Nateland Amusement Park is gaining momentum as his company partners with Storyland Studios. This collaboration aims to bring a unique, family-friendly theme park experience to Nashville. With a focus on feasibility and site exploration, this project promises to enhance the entertainment landscape in Music City.
Exploring Nateland Amusement Park Opportunities
Nateland and Storyland Studios are actively reviewing potential sites around Nashville for the Nateland Amusement Park, which is envisioned to cover over 100 acres. The plan includes not only thrilling rides but also key amenities such as retail outlets, dining options, and possibly a hotel. A comprehensive feasibility study is underway, with expectations to wrap up by the first quarter of 2026, after which Nate Bargatze will seek investment for the park’s development.
“Nate and Nateland are committed to good, clean, family-friendly entertainment,” expressed Felix Verdigets, CEO of Nateland Entertainment. “We live in middle Tennessee and recognize the need for a major attraction for people of all ages in the Nashville area. We’re excited to see what our partnership with Storyland Studios will bring.”
A Strategic Partnership at the Heart of Development
The exciting collaboration between Nateland and Storyland Studios was unveiled at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo. Storyland Studios is renowned for its work on immersive projects like the Legoland Hotel and popular theme park attractions such as Knott’s Berry Farm.
Mel McGowan, founder and chief creative officer of Storyland Studios, shared, “This project has been a long time coming, and we’re thrilled to officially announce that we have embarked on this journey with Nate, Felix, and the entire Nateland team. Our goal is to create a truly premium themed entertainment experience right in Music City that reflects the unique humor and heart of Nateland, while also delivering a world-class destination for families.”
Nate Bargatze’s Expanding Entertainment Empire
Nate Bargatze, who led the highest-grossing comedy tour of 2024, has long dreamed of building an amusement park in Nashville. In a May interview with Esquire, he hinted, “I bet we’re closer than people think. But it’s still a little bit of a ways off.” Meanwhile, Nateland Entertainment’s Experiences division is also organizing a comedy cruise, Nateland at Sea, set for February.
Bargatze’s influence continues to grow, having recently hosted the Emmys and currently working on his comedy film “The Breadwinner,” which is slated for release by Sony in March. The Nateland Amusement Park project adds another thrilling chapter to his expanding entertainment portfolio.
