Katseye, the rising girl group, has released their latest five-song EP, Wild, which debuted today. Accompanying the EP is the vibrant music video for the catchy new track, “Hootie Frutti.”
Celebrating with Color and Rhythm
The music video for “Hootie Frutti,” directed by Alfred Marroquin, immerses viewers in an underground Brazilian party led by the group. Featuring an infectious Latin beat complemented by dynamic dance choreography, the visuals highlight the members in stunning, colorful outfits. The lively atmosphere reaches a climax when water rains down from the ceiling, drenching the performers as they continue to dance, creating an unforgettable spectacle.
Marking a New Era
With the release of Wild, Katseye embarks on a new chapter, as it is their first recording without member Manon Bannerman, who remains on hiatus. Additionally, Sophia Laforteza recently announced her own hiatus to focus on her mental health. The EP includes five tracks, notably featuring “Animal,” which they performed on The Tonight Show earlier this week.
Upcoming Events and Excitement
Following the launch of Wild and the theatrical premiere of their movie Katseye: Wild Hearts in August, the group is poised to embark on their highly anticipated Wildworld Tour. Kicking off in Dublin, Ireland on September 1 and concluding in Mexico City on November 27, the tour will include major stops in London at the O2 and at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Fans can also catch Katseye in cities such as Miami, Paris, Chicago, Boston, and Montreal.
Thrilled for the Tour
On The Tonight Show, the band teased the excitement about their tour, with Yoonchae Jeung sharing her feelings: “I feel like it will hit me once I get there because it’s our first arena tour. It’s a much bigger stage. I’m a little bit nervous. And it’s very exciting.”
A Rising Star
Since their debut in 2024, Katseye has experienced meteoric growth. Their second EP, Beautiful Chaos, released last June, featured viral hits “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” The group garnered recognition at the 2026 Grammy Awards, receiving nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela.” With a track record of captivating performances and a dedicated fan base, Katseye continues to cement their place in the music industry.
