The BFI London Film Festival is set to celebrate its 70th edition by shining a spotlight on two of the U.K.’s most esteemed film producers. Pippa Harris and James Wilson have been chosen to lead the festival’s industry program, participating in in-depth discussions about their careers and the evolving landscape of international film and television.
Pippa Harris: A Trailblazer in Production
Pippa Harris is widely recognized for her successful partnership with celebrated director Sam Mendes, which led to the establishment of Neal Street Productions. Her impressive portfolio includes the Oscar and BAFTA-winning films “Hamnet” and “1917,” in addition to notable titles such as “Revolutionary Road,” “Jarhead,” and the recent family adventure “The Magic Faraway Tree.” In television, Harris’s contributions include the beloved series “Call the Midwife,” the acclaimed “Penny Dreadful,” and the historical drama “Britannia.”
James Wilson: Innovating with Vision
James Wilson has carved a niche for himself through his collaboration with filmmaker Jonathan Glazer, showcasing his skills in projects like the critically acclaimed “Under the Skin” and the prestigious Oscar-winning film “The Zone of Interest.” More recently, he produced Kaouther Ben Hania’s Oscar-nominated film “The Voice of Hind Rajab.” His other notable works include Lynne Ramsay’s “You Were Never Really Here,” Aneil Karia’s “Hamlet,” and the unique documentary “20,000 Days on Earth,” directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.

During the festival, Harris and Wilson will engage in spotlight conversations as part of the LFF’s industry forum. The full industry forum program for the London Film Festival will be unveiled in mid-September. The festival itself will take place from October 7 to 18, featuring a range of activities that highlight the dynamic world of film and production.
